The Pose

Photobucket
“The Pose”

If you look at it, the lady has a lot of description about her, that's why I call this art "The Pose"

In here, I'm trying to use other colors of the pen because before I'm only use to black pens when sketching. By the way, All of my art except the "Face" are done in pens. I scan them then add colors in photoshop.

Man

Photobucket

“Man”

In this art, I wanted to show a unfinished face of a man with a dried long leaf texture for a hair. Though I really need to practice more in using the technique but for now this one will do , i guess.

The Worshiper

I really like to sketch the hair which is really an amazing texture. Then add the shadow effect to show the flow of it.

The Face

“The Face”

This art is the only one I made in photoshop from scratch. I created the half side of the face then mirror the half. After that join it together, presto art...

Ratfink

Photobucket
“Ratfink”

Don't know what to name it, it looks like a rat, so i name it ratfink.

In here I've added horns of the ram then use the dot technique to create a fire around it.

In art, do not stick on what you see, imagination is the best tool. With added music to set your mood and your ready to go. And another pointer is that never force yourself in doing art, it needs patience. Find something to be inspired at.

Sai 2

Photobucket
“Sai 2”

I'm looking for the right look for Sai. Hope this one is ok. Maybe the older version of her.

Anyway, still this one is another great example of dot technique.

Sai

Photobucket
“Sai”

I was planning to create a manga and Sai is one of my character which eventually the main character died. I might finish it sooner or later if I could find time and post it here. But for the meantime I'll stick to my art.

Sai is an example of dot technique. It looks like small lines but actually I've done it in dot technique which took me two days to finish it. But not necessarily 48 hours working on it. Maybe if I total my time, my guess its around 15 to 30 minutes.

The Thinker

Another important idea from a friend is to study or analyze the muscle in our body. It helps to show what expression is intended in your art.

The Wanderer

Another texture I've added on this art. I forgot where I've seen the background texture but it's somewhat like a coral or human veins and artery. Anyway, you might not see it clearly but the skin of the Wanderer still has a crack texture.

The Jester

Photobucket
“The Jester”

Remember not all clowns are funny, Appearance always deceives us that we couldn't see who that person really is

In this art, I've used a texture on the skin of the jester the same with "the Cloak". The texture looks like a crack. I've also added a small portion of a cloth on the side.

Three Sides

Photobucket
“Three Sides”

In "Three Sides" I've used a combination of shadow technique and dot technique. if shadow technique is by blending strokes, dot technique uses dot to blend and create a much detail art. Dot technique has been use for many years because its an ideal and basically easy to use but you need to exert a lot of time and effort for it's a slow process.

Alone

Photobucket
“Alone”

Before I used to create my "Cloak Art" with a background the same with this. I don't know but i find it fascinating to have a dead tree as a background and a moon as added mood. Anyway, still using shadow technique and pen, trying to blend every details as possible. If you notice the dead tree is somewhat looks like a skeleton of a dead leaf, that's why i suggest to apply any texture to your art to create it's uniqueness.

The Cloak

Photobucket
“The Cloak”

A beauty lies hidden within the flow of a cloth. Sometimes we rely on our appearance that we forget the beauty within us.

This art is an evolution of my past sketches, 10 years ago. I always like to develop my art in order to enhance my technique. It’s never wrong to improve something even if it’s already perfect because along the way, you might discover the maturity of your art and your technique.

In this art, I've used a shadow technique, the tool is pen. Years of practice, I learned to control the stroke of the pen from dark to light. It's also important to have an eye for details.
